Robert Havill is known for his paintings along the Hudson River Valley in Upstate New York. Robert Havill was commissioned by the Village of Ossining to paint a series of Landscapes for the Village’s permanent collection. The series shows a sensitive interpretation of some of Ossining’s familiar scenes - Sparta Cemetery, the Jug Tavern, the waterfront and the marina. Robert is descendent of Robert Havell, engraver to John James Audubon’s portfolio, “Birds of America.” Robert studied at the Art Students League, the National Academy of Design in New York City and the University of Arizona. His landscapes and portraits have appeared in juried exhibitions throughout the northeast. His oils and watercolors are in public and private collections throughout the country. Robert has been the recipient of awards from the Salmagundi Art Club, Knickerbocker Artist Club, the Mamaroneck Artists Guild and the New England Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture.
